Boy Meets World is great, no wonder it has seven seasons. This show is about Cory Mathews starting as an eleven year old boy and his life as he grows up to be a man. Naturally, as he grows up, the show becomes more dramatic and less appropriate for young kids. For irresponsible or kids under the age of twelve, I would only recommend the first two seasons of this show considering that Cory and Topanga start making out quite a bit as they get older and they have discussions not for little kids to hear.

Teen, 13 years old Written by Saurity August 31, He is always talking about it. Oh and they have French kissing, making out, etc. Smoking and drugs are a yes. Read my mind 1. But I love this show. I started watching reruns, and I think it's a great show There is a lot of talk about sex and stuff, and I was shocked to find out it was a disney channel show. As the show progresses the topics become much more adult and risque, the first few seasons are mostly appropriate, but after the gang is in like their junior year, I would advise to not allow children to watch.
There are also a few violent or sad episodes. One of the lead characters comes from a dysfunctional family, whom he doesn't get along with, this family deals with a lot of drinking and drugs. The same character experiences losing his father to a heart attack, after they had the biggest fight of their life.
The Mathews Family almost loses their new born child, which is difficult for the whole group of lead characters. Both these episodes brought me to tears, there were also many semi-violent fights that broke out later in the series. Mature teens would probably do fine with it, although I would advise against anything younger.
Happy watching!!! Had useful details. Kid, 12 years old February 8, Positive role models. Helped me decide. Had useful details 2. Read my mind. Kid, 0 years old August 6, It is not for kids at times In the college years it got a little inappropriate but it's alright. But it's almost like Mr. Feeny stalks them he taught them in every grade they were ever in its just crazy. Cory and Shawn act gay at times because they act like they love each other and they act look they married.
Cory and a Topanga say they were friends since birth but in middle school Cory bullied and made fun of Topanga also Topanga used to be smart and weird and when she got to high school she was normal. And Cory went from being a trouble maker to being a nerd the show is not realistic.
Teen, 14 years old Written by kxitea May 10, As the show goes on, the kids get older, in fact it ends in the end of college. As kids get older they deal with more and more. I will personally let my children watch it at any age, as I watched it all around age 6.
I definitely recommend, it brings up good conversation topics. Teen, 13 years old Written by Carolinaluna February 24, Great and addicting show! When I was younger I loved girl meets world, and recently decided to check out the precursor to the show I enjoyed so much. Much to my surprise and delight, I discovered that Boy Meets World is about 10 times better.
It is so funny and witty, but has a few references that are too direct but to raise questions in younger kids. However, the first season has nothing of this sort, and should be fine for everyone. Highly recommend!! Teen, 13 years old Written by Physo January 24, Boy Meets World My friends are telling me to watch boy meets world on Disney plus. I searched it up yesterday and the first option was a guy getting married.
So basically, it was obvious they were going to have sex. Kid, 11 years old January 24, Good But.. It does show some scenes that I had to skip but overall the best made me laugh and cry scream and smile And they do briefly get drunk.
Teen, 13 years old Written by PrimroseEverdeen January 2, Not appropriate for kids! I watched a few episodes one of which Cory and Topenga literally start to have s e x! And shes naked under the covers of a bed. But they get interupted in the middle of it.
And a whole episode called wake up little cory is all about s e x, so like what even. I'm pretty sure the first couple seasons are fine but then everyone starts making out and drinking and having s e x and that is so not appropriate. I think there are some really good episodes but the ones I've watched were not okay for kids. And there is cussing that shouldn't be in a kid show.
But good role models for the most part maybe not in the last few seasons , and good messages. I would much more recommend Girl Meets World which is super appropriate and is still the most amazing show ever!!
And it has lots of the old characters from Boy Meets World. Maybe you could watch the first couple seasons of boy meets world then watch all of the seasons of girl meets world so you can relate to the older characters! Kid, 11 years old December 25, Teen, 17 years old Written by HybridReviews July 24, Great show with positive messages A lovely 90s show.
Not much to say expect that the show has amazing characters. Kid, 11 years old July 19, After that they talk about sex and say a few craps and dammits. In one episode cory and shawn get drunk. Teen, 16 years old Written by Younggoth July 2, Really good.. Teen, 14 years old Written by Kehlani June 21, Teen, 13 years old Written by risaes.
As the show went on, the characters grew up and more mature topics were discussed. I also noticed how the website says that there is absolutely no drinking or anything like that. I just want to let everyone know that there is one episode later on in the show when both Cory and Shawn are drinking underage and both pee on a cop car.
